Dials Phone Script

Hi (potential applicant) how are you today?

Client Response

Great! This is (agent’s name) and I’m the Health Advisor working in (applicant’s city)

and I need to get a list of quotes with plan benefits over to you, but I wanted to confirm

your email first. Do you prefer that I send the information over to (insert email on client

file)?

Client Response

****Confirming Birthday &; Number of Applicants on Plan****

Thanks. Just to confirm, it looks like I have a ___ DOB listed on file which I’m assuming

is yours, correct?

Client Response

Okay and are you just looking for individual coverage or do you want to add other

members to a plan?

Client Response

Note: Ask for other birthdays or ages if the client replies accordingly above

****Confirming Client(s) Health****

Perfect! Also, Some policies provide lower rates based upon your health. Do you have

any significant preexisting medical conditions worth noting such as pending surgeries or

lots of medications or are you pretty healthy overall?

Client Response

****Checking for Doctors in Network****

Got it! Do you have any doctors that you currently see that you’d like to make sure you

keep in network? I can look those up for you as well so that I only send over plans that

you’d value.

Client Response

****Dental & Vision****

Okay. And did you want me to add dental and vision to the quote as well or just health?

****Setting the Appointment****

Perfect. I may need a couple of hours to crunch your numbers and put the quotes

together. I can go ahead and get started on that now. I also want to make sure that I’m

not wasting your time by looking at plans that you may or may not qualify for. Why don’t

we find a few minutes later today to briefly call back and review once I get the quotes

together? I should be free again at either ___ or ___. Would one of those call back

times work for you? I can’t imagine that it takes us 10-15 minutes to review and I can

make it super easy.

Client Response

****Cementing the Appointment with a TEXT message****

Perfect. And I imagine that you can also receive texts on this number, correct?

Client Response

Great. I just sent a real quick text from my phone noting my first and last name and the

call back time. Will you check to see if that text went through for you?

Client Response

Great! Will you also do me a favor and reply with a “got it” or “received” just so I can

make a note in my files that you’re able to text on this line?

Client Sends Text

And while you’re doing that, just to recap it looks like I’ve got your date of birth listed as

___, it appears that you don’t have any underlying health issues, I have your email

listed as ___, and I’ve got you down for a call back at ___.

…….

Oh, and I just got your text as well. Perfect! Feel free to go ahead and save my number.

This is my best line that I’ll call back on.

Client Response

Sounds good. I’ll obviously have more to share with you on our follow up call once I run

your numbers and take a look at the range of options available in the area. I’ll message

you beforehand if I happen to be running behind for our call back at ___. Don’t work too

hard for me today! I’ll talk to you again soon.

Phone Calls – Proper Responses to Answered Calls

1) Yes. I am looking for health insurance.

Answer: Follow the Phone Script

2) I’m too busy at the moment. Can you call me back?
Answer: Sure. I’m happy to call back later. In the meantime, I could begin by running your personalized numbers and putting together an email with rates and brochures for you to view and compare. Would that be helpful?

* Suggest ability to put together personalized quotes

* Set appointment

* Leave text behind

- If no success = “Call Me Back SMS Preset”

3) I was able to find health insurance.

Answer: Great. Do you recall the name of the plan that you went with so that I can properly update my files and place you on a DNC list?

Follow up questions to a shaky response to the above question….

* Did you take a plan through your employer or elsewhere?

* I’m actually seeing PPO networks with deductibles ranging as low as $0 that you appear to qualify for. Do you know if you were able to find a plan that includes those benefits?
